Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
Your garage is private to you. This policy explains what personal data Livery collects, why, who helps us process it, how long we keep it and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
In short
- We only use your data to run Livery for you.
- We don't sell your data, show adverts or use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Your data is stored in London, UK.
- You can download all your data, or delete your account and everything in it, at any time from Account.
1.Who we are
Chakraborty Group LTD (company number 17166586, registered office Office 18572, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA) is the “controller” of your personal data. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under number [ICO registration number]. Contact us about privacy at privacy@liveryclub.com.
2.What we collect
- Account details: your email address, name and password (stored only in a scrambled, hashed form). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us.
- Your garage: the vehicles you add (registration, make, model, VIN, mileage and similar), history entries, service records, modifications, costs, reminders and notes.
- Photos and documents you upload. These can contain personal data, for example names and addresses on a V5C or invoice.
- Lookup records: which registrations your account looked up and when, so we can apply fair-use limits and manage costs.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type and timestamps, recorded by our hosting providers to keep Livery secure and working.
- Settings stored on your device: such as your preferred units and motion setting (see our Cookie Policy).
- Messages you send us.
A vehicle registration can be personal data when it's linked to a person. We treat it that way.
3.How we use it, and our legal reasons
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Account and garage | To provide Livery: store your records, show due dates and reminders, and keep you signed in | Contract |
| Vehicle lookups | To fill in your car's details and MOT history when you ask us to | Contract |
| Lookup records and technical data | To prevent misuse, enforce fair-use limits, keep Livery secure and fix problems | Legitimate interests |
| Service emails | To send account emails, such as confirming your email or resetting your password | Contract |
| Records we must keep | To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations and respond to lawful requests | Legal obligation |
We don't send marketing without your consent, and we don't make decisions about you using only automated means.
4.Who helps us (processors)
We use carefully chosen providers who process data only on our instructions and under contracts that protect it:
- Supabase: database, sign-in, file storage and server functions. Your data is stored in its London (UK) data centre.
- Lovable: hosts and delivers the Livery website and app.
- Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- DVSA, DVLA and Check Car Details: when you look up a car, we send them only the registration number, never your name or contact details.
We may also share data if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business (in which case this policy will continue to protect your data). We never sell your personal data.
5.International transfers
Your garage is stored in the UK. Some of our providers are based in, or have support teams in, the European Economic Area or the United States. Where personal data is accessed from outside the UK, it's protected by UK adequacy regulations or by approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
6.How long we keep it
- Your account and garage: for as long as you have an account.
- When you delete your account, your account, vehicles, records, photos, documents and lookup records are deleted straight away. Copies in our providers' backups are overwritten within 30 days.
- Vehicle details we looked up are kept for up to 12 months in a shared cache that isn't linked to you, so we don't pay for the same lookup twice.
- Technical logs: kept by our providers for a limited period, normally no more than 90 days.
7.How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each account can only access its own records and files; this is enforced by the database itself, not just the app. Files are private and only shared through short-lived links. API keys are kept on the server, access to our systems is limited, and we keep our software up to date.
If a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we'll tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
8.Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy (you can download it from Account);
- correct it (you can edit most of it in Livery);
- delete it (Account → Delete account);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- data portability: receive it in a machine-readable format (the download from Account);
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@liveryclub.com. We'll reply within one month. It's free in most cases.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
9.Age
Livery is for people aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
10.Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when how we use data changes, and show the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in Livery before they take effect.
