Terms of Service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms explain how Livery works, what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Please read them, especially section 5 (you stay responsible for your car), section 6 (vehicle data from other sources) and section 13 (our responsibility to you). If you live in the UK, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1.Who we are
Livery is run by Chakraborty Group LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17166586), whose registered office is at Office 18572, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Chakraborty Group LTD, and “you” means the person using Livery.
You can contact us at hello@liveryclub.com.
2.Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Livery, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Livery. We record the version of these terms you accept and when.
3.Who can use Livery
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Livery is for personal, non-commercial use: keeping records for cars you own, keep or look after.
- The information you give us about yourself must be accurate, and each account is for one person.
4.Your account
Keep your sign-in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account unless it's caused by our failure to keep Livery reasonably secure.
5.You stay responsible for your car
Livery helps you keep track of your car, but it does not take on any of your legal responsibilities. You remain responsible for keeping your car taxed, insured, MOT'd, serviced, roadworthy and legal, and for meeting every deadline that applies to you.
- Reminders and due dates are an aid, not a guarantee. They depend on the information entered, on outside data sources, and on your device, settings and internet connection, so they can be late, wrong or not arrive.
- Always check official sources before relying on a date, for example GOV.UK MOT history and GOV.UK vehicle tax, and your insurer for your insurance.
- Livery is not a replacement for official documents such as your V5C, MOT certificate or insurance documents. Keep the originals.
6.Vehicle data from other sources
When you add a car, Livery can look up its details using the registration number from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and Check Car Details. This information comes from those organisations, not from us, so we can't promise it is complete, accurate or up to date. You can correct any details in your garage.
- Livery is not a vehicle history check (for example for outstanding finance, theft or write-offs) and must not be relied on when deciding whether to buy a vehicle.
- Livery is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA, the DVLA or any manufacturer.
- Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
7.Information, not professional advice
Service intervals, specifications, power and torque figures, costs and other information in Livery are general guidance and estimates. They are not mechanical, legal, insurance or financial advice. Follow your manufacturer's schedule and ask a qualified professional before acting on anything that affects safety or money.
If you modify your car, it's your responsibility to tell your insurer and to make sure the car stays legal and roadworthy. Figures you record for modifications are your own estimates or measurements.
8.Your content
You own the information, photos and documents you add (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content only to run Livery for you, for example to keep backups and to make smaller copies of photos and files. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising.
- Only add content you have the right to use.
- Documents can contain other people's personal details (for example a previous keeper on a V5C). Only upload them where you have a legitimate reason, and keep reference numbers such as your V5C document number to yourself.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
9.Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Livery for anything unlawful, or to track, harass or find out about other people through their vehicles;
- look up registrations in bulk, or for vehicles you have no genuine interest in;
- copy, scrape, resell or republish data from Livery, including vehicle data;
- try to get round usage limits, access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with Livery's security or performance;
- upload viruses or harmful files, or copy or reverse-engineer Livery except where the law allows.
10.Fair use
Vehicle lookups cost us money, so we limit how many a single account can make in a period. We may change these limits to keep Livery running fairly for everyone.
11.Changes and availability
We work to keep Livery available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and we may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly affects you, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
12.Keep your own copies
We take reasonable care to protect and back up your content, but no online service is completely risk-free. Keep originals or copies of anything important. You can download a copy of your data at any time from Account.
13.Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
- Livery is for personal use. We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit, lost business or business interruption.
- Because you stay responsible for your car (section 5), and to the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for fines, penalties, insurance consequences or other losses caused by relying on a reminder, a due date or outside vehicle data without checking it.
- Livery is currently free. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claims is limited to £100, or the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is higher.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
14.Ending your use of Livery
You can stop using Livery and delete your account at any time from Account. Deleting your account permanently erases your garage, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect Livery or other people. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data. If we decide to close Livery altogether, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can download your data.
15.Paid features
If we introduce paid features, we'll show you the price and any extra terms before you pay, including your right to cancel. Those terms will be added to these.
16.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll show the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in Livery and ask you to accept them before you continue. If you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
17.Other important terms
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation; your rights won't be reduced as a result.
- Nobody else has any rights under these terms.
- If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
18.Complaints, law and courts
If you're unhappy, contact us at support@liveryclub.com and we'll try to put things right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
